Killing floor 1 best perk1/20/2024 ![]() ![]() The other that use short controlled head shot bursts, almost always hip-fire and almost always reload before the weapon run dry. In this case your main weapon of choice will probably be P90 and you will probably use tactical movement. One style focus more on long bursts of fire, like to use SMGs that have a decent scope rather than iron sights and often don't reload until the weapon run dry. I would say that there are two distinct play styles, but no matter play style you want Kriss (for Scrakes) and a ranged healing weapon of sorts (if you are level 25 then Medic SMG will be quite potent since it will have unlimited energy during zed time but medic Pistol will also work). Having said that, you can also solo a few scrakes every wave very easy and with minimal risk as long as you have flash bangs (one flashbang + kriss = one dead 6 player scrake). In later waves in a team you should focus your attention on trash zeds so that sharpshooters and demos can deal with large zeds without getting disturbed by trash zeds. Always look behind your shoulder before you decide it is safe to reload. Learn to land them head shots and learn to tap bullets (trash zeds take extra damage from SMGs, even Medic SMG and MP7 will one-shot-instant-kill most trash zeds with a single bullet - no need to spray too much). Gunslinger and support are both hybrid perks that can deal with both trash and large zeds, both require some finesse to use well but once you can you are extremely powerful. Railgun and M99 builds trade more of that trash killing power to delete large zeds. Plus you have a higher chance to start a zed time for the rest of your team. Other perks that are really strong late game are sharpshooter - has similar nades to the SWAT only he trades some of his trash killing ability for more large zed killing with the M14 and FAL builds (RXLRR). i would say commando is the single best perk to pick if your team doesnt always have one because more zed time is just invaluable. ![]() If you can play with a competent commando though and you can take advantage of zed time then you shouldnt have anywhere near as many ammo issues.įor other perks as i mentioned above commando is really important for some perks to do well. Your perk skills are all pretty small boosts with most of your power coming from your zed time - which is pretty bad design imo since this makes SWAT heavily reliant on the commando - a perk that the SWAT is competing with to do the same role. ![]() Until you get to level 25 you are going to feel weak though (at least this is my opinion). If you are guilty of this maybe you need to practice your trigger control or use semi automatic firing modes until you are more restrained in this aspect. You are going to have ammo and dosh problems if you are using half a mag (some 20+ rounds) to kill a single clot. People always complain about ammo on SWAT when he has the most ammo of all the perks - people just waste it and spam. You need to be ammo effiecent otherwise you will have ammo problems (duh). ![]() You also want to save them for kiting as if you run into a lot of nasty you want to stun it so everyone can run past and not get caught and killed. You should be stunning when you see multiple large zeds coming to give the team time to react and DPS them. I see a lot of people using them to kill a single scrake - like if you cant kill a single scrake without a stun nade you are better off leaving him for a team mate to kill (until you learn how to use your slow and stumble to kill a SC without the stun). Havent done much testing with the Tommy gun but its ammo pool is kinda low (onpar with the UMP) but it does less damage so on paper im not convinced.Įarly waves you will want to swap to your 9mm for some zeds like bloats and even gorefiends since the 9mm will kill them faster thanks to the pistol damage being better than the SMG damage type. If you cant afford to get it then the UMP is a great economic pick you sacrifice some 30% RoF for the damage per shot of the T5 MP5. The MP5 is your best choice if you can afford to get it to T5 Paired with your Kriss you have some options: Then afterwards you should swap to RRLRR for the offensive perks that let you hose zeds down more easily and that let you CC zeds.įor weapons the Kriss is you best weapon by like 10k DPM so it should slways be included in your loadout. For SWAT you should start with LLLLR to get the free armor and pistol. ![]()
